Growing Team of therapists in Dorset
We are very happy to introduce a new member of the Dorset team – Alice has started working for Polgreen Physiotherapy two days a week, on Thursdays and Fridays, to help with all the lovely horses we see. This means we can see everyone quicker with more feet on the ground and hands available! Some of you have already met Alice as she came out with Megan as a student and has now been spending several days out on the road as a fully qualified physio. For appointments with Alice please either message Megan as usual for appointments or contact Alice directly on her work: 07546992671.
Alice’s interest in Veterinary Physiotherapy was sparked during her teenage years when she had an ACPAT Physiotherapist treat her horses to keep them happy, healthy and sound.
“Veterinary Physiotherapy has enabled me to combine my interests in sport, anatomy, and biomechanics, with my passion for animals. With a background of riding and competing I have a good understanding of requirements for different disciplines.
I studied to become a Chartered Physiotherapist at Cardiff University, graduating with a First class honours in 2019. Two years later I started my Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Hartpury University. I qualified in 2023 and am currently involved in a research project looking at the relationship between equine conformation and kissing spines. Alongside this I continue to treat humans part time in private practice”.
Alice has already proven to be a great asset to the Dorset team with many clients now having met her and wanting to continue to have her look after their horses.
